October Energy forecast
This month, I’m trying something new.
I’ve shared the weekly energetic weather on Instagram before, and I’ve always loved offering that lens as a way to pause, tune in, and notice what might be moving through the collective.
But I’ve also had to be honest with myself about the way I create and share. Posting every week, consistently, isn’t in alignment with my energy. And rather than forcing myself into a rhythm that doesn’t really support me, I’ve been asking what might feel more spacious, sustainable, and true.
So this is a little experiment: a monthly energetic weather inspired by the Solar transit to the 64 gates.
This is something you can return to throughout October, move through at your own pace, and use as an invitation for reflection rather than something else to keep up with.
And for October, it feels especially fitting, because the month takes us on a journey through the Spleen, bringing themes of intuition, instinct, body awareness, wellbeing, and the quiet intelligence of the present moment.
October Energetic Weather: A month of instinct, intuition & coming back to the body
October brings us on a journey through the Spleen Center.
Throughout the month, the Sun moves through all seven Splenic Gates, 18, 48, 57, 32, 50, 28 and 44, placing a beautiful emphasis on the intelligence of the body.
In Human Design, the Spleen is our oldest awareness center. It is connected with instinct, intuition, survival, health, wellbeing and immune intelligence.
And unlike the mind, Splenic awareness isn't interested in analysing the past or predicting the future.
It speaks in the now. Quietly. Through sensation, instinct, recognition and those subtle moments when the body simply seems to know.
So perhaps October isn't a month for trying to figure everything out and rather a month to come closer to the body. To notice what feels healthy. What feels safe. What needs attention. What your system naturally moves toward and what it instinctively pulls away from.
October 2 - Gate 48: Depth & Trust
There can be an awareness that there is more beneath the surface: more to understand, more wisdom available, perhaps even a solution waiting to emerge.
Collectively, this can amplify our attention toward what could work better and whether we have the depth or resources to address it.
But Gate 48 also carries the fear of inadequacy.
Do I know enough?
Am I prepared enough?
Do I have what it takes?
This can easily send us searching for more information, another qualification, another answer.
Yet the wisdom of this Gate reminds us that depth isn't always something we have to acquire. Sometimes we don't realise how deep our well already is until life asks us to draw from it.
Contemplation
Where am I questioning whether I know enough or am ready enough?
What wisdom or experience am I perhaps overlooking in myself?
What becomes possible when I pause and go deeper rather than rushing toward a solution?
October 8 -Gate 57: Intuition & Presence
This is intuition in the present moment. This is subtle: a sensation, a sound, a shift in the atmosphere, a feeling that something is healthy or unhealthy, safe or unsafe.
Collectively, we may become more sensitive to the signals around us.
The challenge is that the mind wants intuition to tell us what will happen tomorrow. But Splenic awareness doesn't promise certainty about the future. It whispers about what is here now.
This transit can therefore invite us to listen before we analyse and to become more intimate with the ways our own body communicates.
Contemplation
What am I noticing before my mind begins explaining it?
How does my body communicate a quiet yes or no to me?
Where am I looking for future certainty instead of listening to what is present now?
October 14 - Gate 32: Continuity & Change
This Gate is deeply attuned to survival through change. And that is an important distinction: continuity doesn't mean keeping everything exactly as it is. In nature, survival requires adaptation.
Collectively, we may find ourselves noticing what feels sustainable and what no longer has the vitality to continue in its current form.
Fear of failure can also become louder here.
We may want guarantees that a relationship, project, business or direction will succeed before we fully trust ourselves to engage with it.
Yet Gate 32 reminds us that longevity often comes through the willingness to evolve.
Contemplation
What in my life feels genuinely sustainable?
Where might fear of failure be influencing the way I make decisions?
What wants to change so that something deeper can continue?
October 19 - Gate 50: Values & Responsibility
Gate 50 turns Splenic awareness toward values, responsibility, care and preservation.
What keeps a family, community, relationship or system healthy? What principles are worth protecting?
Collectively, we may become more aware of responsibilities, both the ones we genuinely want to carry and the ones we have taken on because we think we should.
This can be a beautiful moment to notice the values underneath the structures of our lives.
Are the rules, agreements and responsibilities we live by still connected to what we truly care about?
Contemplation
Which values are genuinely important to me right now?
What responsibilities feel rooted in care, and which feel rooted in obligation?
What boundaries or agreements might better support my wellbeing and my relationships?
October 25 - Gate 28: Purpose & Struggle
This energy bring us into questions of purpose, struggle and what is worth our life-force.
Collectively, we may find ourselves questioning where our energy is going. Is this worth it?
Not every challenge needs to be overcome.
Not every battle needs to be fought.
Not every difficult path is automatically meaningful.
This energy can bring awareness to the difference between struggle for the sake of struggle and the challenges that feel deeply worthwhile because they connect us with a sense of aliveness and purpose.
Contemplation
What am I currently giving energy to that no longer feels meaningful?
Which challenges in my life genuinely feel worth meeting?
What makes me feel more alive, even when it asks something of me?
October 31 - Gate 44: Patterns & Recognition
This energy carries an awareness of the past. The body remembers.
It recognises patterns in people, relationships and situations and can sense when something familiar is appearing again.
Collectively, this can make patterns more visible.
We may recognise dynamics we've encountered before or become more aware of what has( and hasn't) worked in the past.
The wisdom here is in allowing experience to inform our awareness without letting old conditioning decide what the present moment means.
Contemplation
What pattern am I recognising more clearly right now?
What has past experience taught me that I can use wisely in the present?
Can I recognise what feels familiar without assuming I already know how this story will end?
I hope you find this October Energetic Weather insightful and supportive.
Take what resonates, leave what doesn’t, and as always, let your own Strategy and Authority be your guide.
And if something in this month’s themes is stirring your curiosity or inviting you to go a little deeper, there are always few opportunities to connect and explore together.
